Carmen provides a positive, value-based learning environment where culture and diversity are respected and celebrated.
Your student will learn to love learning through our culture of Rigor, Structure and Joy everyday at Stellar Elementary. Students begin each day with Morning Motivation: singing, dancing and reciting the school creed to start our day focused on community and joy. Stellar’s innovative program model sets students up for math and reading proficiency by providing three teachers across two classrooms facilitating scaffolded small group instruction; including special education teachers uniquely trained to support students with special needs.
The Carmen mission and vision starts with elementary and middle school. Our students have established a strong foundation in math and reading proficiency and continue their love of learning and culture-building through our middle school core values: community, determination, empathy, growth, respect, and trust. Middle schoolers are introduced to Carmen advisory where they discuss development and find support with their peers and a staff Advisor. 6th-8th graders develop key skills and prepare for high school life.
Carmen high school students will have a well-rounded experience, with access to Advanced Placement (AP) courses, have the potential to earn college credit, complete the required community service hours, and apply for paid student internships through our Student Internship Program (SIP). Our students will learn in and out of school through career site visits to some of Milwaukee’s most prestigious organizations, explore colleges at college fairs and campus visits, and so much more
The Carmen Schools College and Career teams work together for students and families through school and beyond high school graduation. The College Team support students through the planning of college visits, assisting students with FAFSA, scholarships, and college applications. Our alumni services includes helping our graduates with course registration while at college, campus visits, and other check-ins through college graduation. The Career Team curates career fairs so that Carmen students can learn about a variety of career opportunities and pathways, arranges site visits and internships, and helps Carmen students earn the social capital necessary to succeed in college and life.

Additional lotteries will be held on a monthly basis to fill any remaining seats until all seats are filled.
